MANILA, Philippines - The peso plunged against the dollar on Thursday, closing at 44.9 from the previous day's 44.715.
Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $425.2 million, higher than the $387.65 million posted on Wednesday.
The peso opened Thursday at 44.87.
