MANILA, Philippines - A seminar on financial rehabilitation has been set on Oct. 18, 2-5 p.m. at the TGGA Restaurant, #70 Mindanao Ave., Project 6, Quezon City.
Lawyer Arthur Corpuz, an expert on financial rehabilitation, said the seminar should be of interest to all businesses – single proprietorships, partnerships, corporations and even cooperatives – who are trying to avoid foreclosures and restore their financial well being and viability.
Corpuz said the seminar promises to inform financially distressed individuals and companies and even creditors of available legal remedies to avoid foreclosures and prevent the total collapse and eventual dissolution of their businesses.
Corpuz said there is actually a law that allows any distressed company or individual to seek protection from creditors who are about to institute foreclosure proceedings.
This is by applying for and getting the courts to approve a plan that will place the business under a rehabilitation program that will be overseen by a court-approved receiver. There is a seminar fee of P1,500 per person payable at the venue.
