AIG Phl names new CEO

MANILA, Philippines - Mark Lwin has been appointed as president and chief executive officer of AIG Philippines. 

Prior to this appointment, Lwin served as the CEO of AIG Shared Services, Malaysia, where he led the expansion of AIG’s shared services operations and provided insurance services to AIG companies world-wide. 

Lwin is returning to the Philippines for his second time in an AIG senior management role, previously spending six years leading various aspects of AIG’s shared services operations.  He held a number of key leadership roles within AIG’s premiere shared services center and was promoted to senior vice-president, general insurance and BPO operations, in 2009. 

With over 22 years of experience in insurance operations, financial services, and operations management in Asia and the United States, Lwin holds Master’s Degrees in Business Administration and History from The George Washington University, Washington D.C, and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin.

AIG has been a licensed insurer in the Philippines since 1948, and is a leading provider of property and casualty insurance in the Philippines market today.  AIG maintains a major presence in the Philippines market with over 3,000 employees working within AIG Philippines, Inc. and AIG Shared Services
