PFA boosts retooling program
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) has intensified its retooling program for its members with a seminar on “Unleashing the Full Potential of Managers†that will arm franchisors and franchisees the necessary tools in managing their business and also in grooming the right executives.
On Feb. 19, Prof. Jose Faustino will talk on “Good Leaders Create Good Managers†at the AIM Conference Center Manila (ACCM). The daylong seminar is an intensive workshop designed to develop the skills in hiring, developing and motivating highly skilled managers to ensure the growth and profitability of a company.
“Good managers are critical to the success of any business. A good manager can motivate people and enhance productivity. A good manager can create new opportunities for growth for your business. A good manager, however, is getting to be a rare breed. But the good news is good managers can be created and they can become the best assets of your business,†Prof. Faustino emphasized.
The said seminar is specifically targeted for CEOs, business owners, top managers, area managers, human resource managers and other professionals engaged in recruiting and training managers who shall become important contributors to the growth of the business. The format will be both participative and interactive.
Prof. Faustino, the seminar director, spent 20 years working as a successful senior executive for multinational companies, and then over 30 years as a professor of management and management consultant in Asia and in Europe. He has trained thousands of managers both as an executive and as management professor and consultant.
Among the topics that will be tackled in the whole-day workshop are the following: Survey of Fortune 500 CEOs: How are They Different?; Why most Workers are 50-70 Percenters, not 100 Percenters?; Developing your Managers Emotional Intelligence; Strategic Planning; Learning How to Give Non-financial Incentives; And several case studies. These and other topics will be presented in 5 sessions.
