MacroAsia wins Singapore Airlines catering award

MANILA, Philippines - MacroAsia Catering Services (MACS) won the prestigious Singapore Airlines Excellence in Catering Award 2011, following the results of a 12-month rating period conducted by Singapore Airlines (SQ) for all its catering service providers worldwide.

MACS bested 15 catering stations in Group 1 (stations handling 15 or more weekly flight frequencies) within the SQ network on the strength of the company’s excellent catering products and services.

The award, which was announced on Oct. 9, 2012, means MACS has consistently met SQ’s quality standards.

MACS executives officially received the award recently from SQ GM Ranjan Jha and station manager Kelvin Kwan during brief ceremonies at MacroAsia’s catering facility inside the NAIA complex in Pasay City.

MACS GM Rhodel Esteban thanked the company’s staff and officers as well as members of the SQ Manila team for their outstanding performance that earned the catering outfit the coveted award.

“This prestigious award and recognition rightfully belongs to MACS and  SQ Manila as they remained focused in achieving the high quality standards set by Singapore Airlines,” Esteban said.

As a gesture of goodwill, a token of appreciation from SQ will be given to MACS staff in recognition of their efforts and hard work.

Singapore Airlines operates 28 flights weekly between Manila and Singapore using its Boeing 777.
