Microsoft Phl ties up with Veterans Bank
MANILA, Philippines - Microsoft Philippines has recently helped Philippine Veterans Bank, one of the country’s most trusted banks to provide a better, faster and more convenient banking experience for Filipinos.
Together with Microsoft Philippines’ solutions partner, dB Wizards, Philippine Veterans Bank has chosen to upgrade its IT infrastructure to Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010 to help increase the productivity of its business processes.
Windows Server 2008 R2 has the ability to consolidate servers, manage hardware more effectively, and alter system security model. On the other hand, Exchange 2010 provides the benefits of cloud-based email with integrated archiving. Its retention and discovery features can help organizations preserve and search for critical business communications conducted over email easier and more efficiently.
“For several years, Microsoft has been providing us with technological innovations that have helped make us work more effectively and efficiently,” said Camille Canullas, CIO and senior vice president for Technology and Business Info Group of Veterans Bank. “With the recent update, we can now reduce computing storage costs and work with our files in a faster and more manageable way. I can imagine how we can enhance productivity at our bank which will then lead to more improved banking services to further satisfy our customers.”
Joel Garcia, business lead of Microsoft Philippines for Server and Tools, shared of the renewed partnership, “many organizations such as the Philippine Veterans Bank require fast, cost-efficient and high quality infrastructure because this sharpens productivity in the workplace, resulting in fast delivery of products or services. We recognize how very important this is to service organizations, hence our commitment to provide them with technologies that they can trust.”
A partner of Microsoft in providing IT solutions, dB Wizards shares the same vision and commitment. Pocholo Reyes, managing director of dB Wizards said, “We will continue to build solutions that are responsive to the needs of our clients. We are excited about the productivity improvement benefits that the strategic partnership with Philippine Veterans Bank will bring about.”
