PFA equips members with new mktg model

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) has stepped up its retooling program for its members by equipping them with new marketing models conceptualized by the country’s foremost marketing expert and author Josiah Go.

The so-called Franchise Diamond Model, earlier presented by Go during the Franchise Asia Philippines Conference 2012 in July, will help raise the level of competitiveness of franchisers and franchisees.

Go, the chairman and chief marketing strategist of Mansmith and Fielders, Inc., will give a more detailed presentation of the Franchise Diamond Model at the PFA General Membership Meeting (GMM) on Sept. 26 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas Center.

He was chosen to be the guest speaker for PFA’s second GMM for 2012 in response to a clamor to repeat his presentation at the recent event.

The said model or framework provides franchisors and franchisees alike a roadmap on how to improve business efficiency and effectiveness, and in the process make their operations more successful.

Go is the first Filipino to have completed the Blue Ocean Strategy qualification process in Insead, France and is the first in Southeast Asia to have taught this as a course in a university. His current interests include Market-Driving Strategies, Business Model Innovation, Profit Strategy and Entrepreneurship.

He trains and/or consults with many local and multinational companies and has handled over 500 seminar-workshops.

PFA, as the voice of Philippine franchising, remains committed in providing capacity-building activities for the sector especially its members to equip them in their role as partners of economic development and nation-building.

Among these activities are its bi-annual general membership meetings as well as workshops and seminars. Recently, PFA organized a seminar on business planning conducted by Jose Faustino, one of the country’s foremost business educators.
