Moody's to review Phl
MANILA, Philippines - A Moody’s review team is coming to the Philippines on June 18 to assess the country’s economic fundamentals and see whether the country is indeed ripe for a credit rating upgrade.
Documents from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) showed that a Moody’s visiting team headed by lead analyst Christian De Guzman will be meeting with Finance officials including Finance Undersecretary Jeremias Paul Jr. on June 18. Another Moody’s analyst, Tom Byrne would also be part of the team.
The heads of the government’s two main revenue agencies – the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Bureau of Customs, Commissioners Kim Henares and Ruffy Biazon, respectively, are expected to be part of the fiscal team that would be meeting with the Moody’s group.
