Laundry shop business operation

MANILA, Philippines - A laundry business can be profitable. There are many types of laundry business including home-based and dry cleaning franchiser. The pitfalls and perils of owning a laundry shop will be discussed in a two-day seminar organized by the Golden Treasure Skills Development Program. The seminar will be held at the College of Social Work andCommunity Development Magsaysay Ave., cor. Ylanan St., University of the Philippines, Diliman Quezon City on Jan. 21 and 22, from 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The seminar will give participants basic information on getting started on the business, sustaining operations, and possibly branching out. Also to be discussed are the basic types of services, workflows, pre-opening factors and also specific procedures on dry cleaning, including actual demonstration on how to dry-clean, iron a barong tagalog, gowns, etc. and how to aromatized the laundry. There will also be an actual demonstration on how to make basic cleaning products use for laundry such as powder soap, fabric softener and liquid bleach to save money.
