Korean Air to open Gatwick route

SEOUL, South Korea — Korean Air has confirmed that commencing April 29, it will add to its daily service between London’s Heathrow Airport and Seoul, South Korea with flights from London Gatwick, which will initially be three times a week.

 This new service will mean that Korean Air will now operate routes to/from Seoul throughout 16 cities in 11 European countries and will link London and Seoul 10 times a week through both Heathrow and Gatwick gateways. As well as boosting the service to Korea, the Gatwick flight timings will also allow the UK traveller to connect onwards to Chinese, Japanese and Southeast Asian destinations. There are also many dual destination opportunities for the leisure traveller, including Bali, Australia and New Zealand.

 Korean Air’s Boeing 777s will be used on the Gatwick routes, offering a total of 261 seats including eight First Class fully flat Kosmo Sleeper seats, 28 Prestige Plus (Business) seats and 225 Economy seats. As with all Korean Air flights, passengers can expect a high level of service, award-winning onboard catering, including the famous Korean dish bibimbap and will experience the sophisticated in-flight entertainment system.
