GadgetSafe passes US test

MANILA, Philippines - The California Institute of Electronics and Materials Science (CIEMS), has conducted an anti-radiation shielding effectiveness test for the newly-launched Philippine device named ‘GadgetSafe’ which is aimed to protect all cellphone and laptop users from the possibility of cancer-causing radiation emitted via electronic gadgets. In a letter sent to the Manila offices of Phicambi Co., the United States’ Division of Electronic Measurements and Devices, said samples tested provided satisfactory results re: electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (SE) parameters in the test frequency range. It Concluded that GadgetSafe average shielding effectiveness is 94.1 percent on the plane-wave shielding effectiveness (SEpw) and 92.3 percent on the magnetic shielding effectiveness (SEm). It had an average from six test runs at each of the three test samples conducted. The data on the standard deviation are now kept on file at CIEMS. ‘GadgetSafe’ is now available in Handyman  and True Value stores in metro manila as well as in Davao City &Cebu City at the following centers namely: ‘WilTelCom’@ SM (Davao), Blackberry Shop, HTC Concept Shop, Nokia Store, ICenter Apple, Samsung Mobile Concept Shop, LG Mobile Concept Shop, MyPhone Concept Shop, Cherry Mobile, MP3 Express, Olympus Camera Shop, and Sony Ericson.
