Aircraft parts maker moving to Clark with P172-M investment

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampang, Philippines   — One of the world’s biggest aircraft parts manufacturer is moving into this freeport with P172 million in investments, the state-owned Clark Development Corp. (CDC) announced yesterday.

CDC president and chief executive officer Felipe Antonio Remollo said Jamco Phils. Inc. (Jamco Phils.) has signed an agreement with the CDC for the establishment of a facility that would manufacture aircraft parts and equipment, as well as provide some services for airline operations.

The Jamco Phils. is a joint venture between US (60 percent) and Japan (40 percent) and is targeting clients from Europe, North America and Asia.

Remollo said the Jamco subsidiary will rise at the Berthaphil Industrial Park in this freeport.

He said Jamco is known not only for its aircraft interior fixtures and equipment but also for its researches and development of new technology and products. “As a leader in the design, manufacturing, and certification of aircraft interior products, continued recognition of our on-time delivery performance and high level of quality supports our future success,” said Norikazu Natsume, president and chief executive officer of Jamco America.

Jamco America Inc. is a premier supplier of Airbus and Boeing aircraft interior engineering services and products.

Remollo said Jamco is also manufactures fuselage shell components and is engaged in research work with other countries such as Japan and Germany in the development of fuselage structures Including those for Airbus’ next generation aircraft.

Jamco’s Aircraft Components Group is the sole supplier of carbon composite components for stringers and stiffeners for vertical tail planes of all Airbus aircraft as well as for upper deck floor cross beams of A380 aircraft.
