Bank of Commerce opens 5 new branches in 1st half
MANILA, Philippines - Bank of Commerce, ranked among the top 20 commercial banks in the country, has opened five more branches in the first half of 2011, bringing its total number of branches to 122 nationwide.
Bank of Commerce senior vice president & branch banking head Deo Jacinto said the latest addition to Bank of Commerce’s expanding presence are branch offices in Puerto Princesa, Palawan; Balanga, Bataan; and Rosario, Cavite that were simultaneously opened last May 6.
During the opening of the Palawan branch, Bank of Commerce vice president and South Luzon area head Bobby Paz said the bank has set foot in Puerto Princesa and in other key cities around the country as a partner to spur economic growth in these areas and further boost its financial stability. “And this is truly possible because the bank has the backing of the best managed and largest business conglomerate in the Philippines today – the San Miguel Corp.,” Paz noted.
The opening of these three branches comes on the heels of earlier new branch openings in Lucena, Quezon and Tanauan, Batangas, which opened in Jan. 17 and April 25 this year, respectively.
As a further testament to its confidence in the potential of Batangas, the Tanauan branch is the bank’s fourth in the province.
“It is our desire to position Bank of Commerce to be more accessible to the banking public nationwide, whether individual or corporate. Our diversified line of banking services is designed to address the financial needs of every Filipino and in so doing, help build a better and sustainable Philippine economy,” Jacinto said.
Bank of Commerce offers a wide range of financial products and services, including deposit and investment products, corporate banking, consumer banking, cash management services, treasury and trust services, asset management, and trade facilities. It capitalizes on the budding functions of technology, leveraging service products through the use of advanced systems to make transactions efficient and hassle-free.
