Philippines in figures 2011now available
MANILA, Philippines - The National Statistics Office (NSO) announces the release of the 2011 Philippines in Figures (PIF), a handy pocket-size booklet that contains the most recent data of about 200 indicators on the country’s socio-economic activity. Presented in three years series, the data contained in the PIF are on topics: population and demography; labor and employment; income and prices; construction and housing; services and tourism; education and literacy; health and welfare; and crime and delinquency. Developments in selected statistics in agriculture, fishery, forestry, mining, manufacturing, energy, gas and water, transportation and communication, trade, banking, public finance and insurance, and national accounts are likewise included. The country’s short profile and historical background, its constitution and government as well as the latest geographic composition are also incorporated in this issue. Available in hard copy and soft copy, the PIF may be obtained from the Databank and Information Services Division (DISD) and Publication Sales Unit (PSU) located at the 6th Floor Solicarel Bldg. I and Ground Floor Solicarel Bldg. II, Ramon Magsaysay Blvd., Sta. Mesa, Manila, with tel. Nos. 714-1715 and 713-7081, respectively. Outside the National Capital Region (NCR), copies of the publication can be availed of at various NSO regional and provincial offices nationwide.
