GMA state visits generate jobs for BPO industry

WinAce Holdings Philippines, Inc. chairman Teodorico T. Haresco Jr., yesterday paid tribute to the support given by President Arroyo to the business process outsourcing industry even as he cited the new BPO contacts of Winsource Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary corporation of WinAce Holdings, Inc., that will generate new jobs for Filipinos.

“President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s state visits are instrumental in the promotion and growth of the BPO Industry and the focus of support that PGMA is giving has brought about collaborative success to the outsourcing business in the Philippines, “ Haresco said.

He opined that the adverse effects of the global recession, particularly the economic meltdown in the Americas and Europe, will not alter the positive growth of the BPO Industry in our country.

“There is a sustaining balance of growth for the BPO Industry in the Philippines as its employment sector enable principal establishments abroad to source competent placements for call centers service in our country at lesser cost, “ Haresco pointed out.

“Over and above the economic balance in favor of the Philippines as source of competent labor and BPO service is the focus of support of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to information technology and the outsourcing contact industry, “ he added.

The President on her return from a state visit to Qatar announced that no less than 125,000 jobs are available for Filipinos in Qatar. Along, it opens more opportunities for outsourcing services for the BPO industry in the Philippines.

In citing new contacts of Winsource Solutions, Inc., which will initially open for its outsourcing services no less than 1,000 jobs for the year 2009, Haresco made mention of Google Ads and Yahoo SEM.

Winsource Solutions, Inc., president Harold Jose James Pardo said Winsource has sealed a partnership with a Southeast Asia representative of Google and Yahoo in order to enhance their product offering. Based on these partnerships, Winsource will also prepare to receive accreditation as Google Ads partner.

Pardo said “the alliance with PurpleClick is not the only one which can represent an step forward for Winsource’s expansion plans. Also, ties with other specialist BPO’s from the AsPac area, such as Pure Catalyst and Tele-Centre, have the potential to generate more jobs in the Philippines, increasing even further the positions which will be made available in the BPO industry to Filipinos during 2009.”
