DFNN forges service pact with Gaisano unit

Information technology and gaming firm Diversified Financial Network Inc. (DFNN), through subsidiary Intelligent Wave Philippines, has forged a master service, end-user software license and hardware outsourcing and network management and maintenance agreements with the Metro Gaisano Group’s online brokerage company.

Under the agreements, DFNN will provide the back-office system, front-end system and website needed for VSEC.Com Inc. to implement and operate an online securities and brokerage company.   

“The systems provided by the DFNN Group are deemed by the client to be critical in realizing their vision of an active online securities broker company,” DFNN said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange.

VSEC, a wholly-owned unit of the Metro Gaisano Group, will offer products including equities, fixed income and mutual funds. It aims to educate investors in the financial securities markets and showcase the advantages and convenience of investing online.  

“ With today’s fast developing electronic age, investors will look for convenience and speed to invest. The era of ease by which people will use electronic means to invest online is inevitable,” DFNN said.

Intelligent Wave is one of the leading companies engaged in systems integration, software and technology development in the country. Its main markets are financial institutions, manufacturing firms and retail outlets.

The Gaisano Group earlier formed a P1-billion investment house called Vicsal Investment Inc. to help public and private corporations raise money through the issuance and sale of securities in the primary market. — Zinnia dela Peña
