BOI okays P767-M packaging plant project of Lapanday

The Board of Investments (BOI) has approved the P767. 1 million new packaging plant project of Lapanday Packaging Inc.
Lapanday is putting up a new packaging plant at the First Mindanao Industrial Park in Davao City with a production capacity of 34,502 metric tons.
Its new product are corrugated boxes which would be used as packaging material for the export of fruits such as bananas and vegetables for export.
Lapanday also has a plastic plant.
Lapanday is a 100 percent Filipino-owned company controlled by the Lorenzo family.
The Lapanday Foods Corp. includes the Davao Cold Storage Corp., Fresh Asia Produce Company International Corp., Mindanao Fresh Produce Services Corp., Lapanday Packaging, Inc., and Lapanday Diversified Products Corp.
Lapanday Packaging Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lapanday Foods Corp.
Lapanday Foods packaging arm, Lapanday Packaging, Inc. (LPI), inaugurated the companys box manufacturing facility in Mandug, Davao City last Aug. 8, 2005.
Designed to be one of the largest and most advanced box-making plants in the country, the 21,230 square meter facility is equipped with state-of-the-art corrugator and flexo machines for producing superior quality packaging materials.
