Media Con Services

A Spybiz reader complained about Oriental Media Services (OMS) that went on a subscription solicitation drive in Legazpi City in Albay. OMS, registered with DTI under the name of Mylene Garcia Mendoza with offices located at Cityland 10 Tower in Makati, reportedly offered P2,700 for a years worth of subscription to Time magazine and promised a digital camera as giveaway. The readers daughter and her colleagues signed up for a subscription, with the assurance that they would be receiving the first copy of the magazine, plus the digital camera after a month. When none arrived, the reader called OMS and was told by a certain Jonathan Antonio that the computer broke down, but he would get back to the caller later to verify the subscription status. Its been three months since and neither magazine nor digital camera have been delivered, and the phones just keep on ringing. The reader is beginning to suspect that her daughter and many others were probably duped. If this is true, then the company should change just its name to Media Con Services.
The LTO Spy-Ring got wind of an interesting racket allegedly being perpetrated by some enterprising personnel in an LTO office in this historically famous town south of Manila. Because the renewal period for a drivers license is done every three years and the fact that the LTO has adopted a computerization system, it seems some corrupt personnel have found a simple but effective scheme to victimize drivers with. Apparently, when a driver pays the penalty and claims his license at the time he committed the violation, the record is not deleted from the computer. So when the driver renews his license a year or two later, the LTO personnel claim that the violation had not been settled. If a driver shows a receipt to prove that it has been settled, these racketeers will just claim there was a computer error. Otherwise, without the receipt, the hapless driver has no option but to pay the penalty again, plus an additional amount for his alleged non-appearance to settle.
Spybiz informants disclosed that some officials in this government financial institution are using foreclosed properties as their personal rest houses for free. The sad part is that these properties are being maintained at the expense of this financing institution. Whats more, some officers and personnel are using a special cooperative program for their benefit by using dummies who pose as buyers of products by coop-clients under the program.
Last Friday night, our Baguio Eye-Spy sighted Senator Magsaysay at the Baguio Country Club decked in a black T-shirt, black pants, black jacket, and sunglasses. According to reports, the man in black was feeling and acting groovy that night in the company of his wife. Other witnesses said the senator even resembled John Travolta as he danced the night away. The next day, the senator looked bright and chipper for the PMA event he had to attend. Now, the Baguio Spy-Ring isnt so sure anymore if it was the Man in Black or John Travolta that they sighted at the Baguio Country Club.
This joke was relayed to us by our legitimate US intelligence sources, not Aragoncillo:

American: Im sorry 2
Erap: (puzzled, replies) Im sorry 3
American: What r u sorry 4?
Erap: (thinks awhile) Im sorry 5
