Energy contractors, suppliers in the mart for partners, investors

An international exhibition focused on competitiveness through leading-edge technology and partnerships in energy will be held from June 8 to 10 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila alongside a forum on investment opportunities on energy-related infrastructures in ASEAN countries.

The exhibition and the forum are organized as the 6th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF) by ASEAN energy ministers to signal the important role that private investors play in bankrolling energy infrastructure projects.

The ASEAN ministers, concerned with regional moves to secure energy supplies, are meeting for their 22nd ASEAN Meeting of Energy Ministers (AMEM). The annual event has been extended to an AMEM Plus 3 dialogue. The Plus 3 countries are major oil-consumers China, Japan and South Korea. A separate dialogue will be held with counterparts from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. Energy Secretary Vincent Perez Jr., will preside over the meetings.

AEBF exhibitors will meet face-to-face with their target audiences of more than 300 high-level executives attending the forum. The meeting is expected to meet corporate objectives of further communicating technology leadership in energy, promoting companies as resources for leading-edge products and value-adding services, broadening business prospects, strengthening brands and building stronger relationships.

The Department of Energy DOE assigned Leverage International to organize this year’s forum and exhibition. Details are available at the AEBF secretariat (818-68-28/810-13-89 fax 810-15-94 ivrge@netasia,net).
