Unilever sees sales hike

Unilever Philippines, Inc. expects an 11.7-percent increase in sales this year, according to its general manager for corporate development Chito Macapagal.
Unilever is targetting sales of P14 billion this year for its home and personal care products and P5 billion from its food products or total sales of P19 billion.
This compares to actual overall sales of only P17 billion last year of which P12 billion came from its home and personal care products while its food products accounted for sales of P5 billion.
Unilever’s leading brands of home and pesonal care products are Lux, Sunsilk, Close-Up, Creamsilk, Rexona, Breeze, Superwheel, Surf, Pond’s, Axe and Lifebuoy.
Its leading food products include Knorr, Ladies’ Choice and Royal Pasta.
Unilever was established in 1927. It was previously known as Philippine Refining Co. (PRC).
Unilever Philippines started as an oil milling business and is today a leading manufacturer of laundry detergents and soaps, shampoos and hair conditoners, toothpastes, deodorants, skin care products, toilet soaps and foods, including Lipton Tea.
It acquired California Marketing Corp. (CMC) last year, further expanding its food line.
