W1N Int’l exec wants to create more winners

Jennylei D. Caberte - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It’s the dream of every Filipino to one day be considered a success.  Here in the Philippines, success is more often than not measured by material things — having elegant houses, cars, huge cash in bank, and running one’s own businesses.

Elizabeth Pavlovic, chairman of Winners and Independent Networkers International Corp. (W1N International), understands this aspiration and is willing to help Filipinos reach their financial goals.

Armed with the vision of creating more entrepreneurs in the country and with the support of the company president and chief executive officer Edwin Pangilinan Humilde, a visionary with over 15 years of experience in leverage marketing, a business builder, trainer and motivational speaker, Pavlovic ventured into direct selling.

Together with W1N’s other board  directors and officers — Karen Serevo, chief finance officer; Rosemarie Humilde, sales and marketing manager; Jerico Tan, vice president and COO; Nes Supnet, country manager-HK operations; and Dr. Ma. Gemma Pinlac, medical director, they steered the company to success and greater heights.

WIN is a direct seller of superior quality yet competitively affordable health, beauty and wellness products.

“For a small amount, people can earn from selling W1N International products.  They will practically be able to run own their business and achieve their financial goals if they work really hard,” Pavlovic said.

She said W1N International encourages aspiring entrepreneurs particularly overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to go into direct selling, having been a former OFW herself who was forced to work thousands of miles away from her family.

“Our primary mission is to bring home our OFWs so they can live a healthy and prosperous life together with their families,” Pavlovic explained.

The chief of W1N International stressed she wants OFWs and other hard-working Filipinos to be as successful as she is. Pavlovic is a success story herself. It took her more than 20 years of hard work, patience, and determination before she achieved her financial and personal goals.

“I had experienced how difficult it is to make both ends meet because I was a single parent.  However, nothing is possible if you are hard-working, diligent, and you have faith in God,” Pavlovic said.

The chairman of W1N International started out selling soaps she formulated herself.  Pavlovic has placed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology to good use.

“Since I have a degree in Biology, I thought of formulating soaps and beauty products myself.  Aside from developing beauty products, I also want to look and feel beautiful,” she emphasized.

Diligence and discipline enabled her to pool enough resources to put up her first company in 1991, Le Derma Skin Care, which manufactures and distributes soap and other personal care products under the Sutla brand. Le Derma was the first in the market to introduce soap manufactured in cold process.

The popularity of the Sutla brand allowed Pavlovic to set up the  first factory of Le Derma Skin Care worth P3 million in Taytay, Rizal, and a three-story building worth P5 million which served as its marketing office. She later built a cosmetics laboratory, which developed more personal care and beauty products.

In 2000, Le Derma Skin Care changed its corporate name to Glowcal Manufacturing Corp. The change in business name did not deter customers from patronizing her products. With the superior quality of Sutla herbal soaps and personal care products, Glowcal was able to penetrate markets abroad.

Currently Glowcal produces personal care, beauty and health products under the Levon and Winner’s Choice labels which are marketed through W1N International’s distribution network that allows people to earn through direct selling.

For successful businesswomen like her, it would have been much easier to just make a donation to serve as their contribution to improving society.  But Pavlovic does not believe in just giving dole outs.  For her, teaching other people “how to fish” will be a better legacy to leave behind.

W1N International which banners the slogan “We Are Born To Win” distributes superior, high quality yet affordable health, beauty and wellness products here and abroad, and provides business opportunities to budding entrepreneurs, OFWs, retirees, and even to students and housewives.
