9 luma at dugyot na UV Express bawal bumiyahe
MANILA, Philippines — Pinigil ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) na makabiyahe ang siyam na dugyot at lumang UV Express na namamasada sa Metro Manila at Bulacan.
Ayon kay LTFRB Chairman Vigor D. Mendoza, hindi papayagang makabiyahe ang naturang mga sasakyan hangga’t hindi inaayos ng mga may-ari nito ang problema.
“Dilapidated, untidy and stinky PUVs have no place in the country’s public transportation system. Hindi na puwede ngayon ang okay pa, either the operators would shape up, or be shipped out,” pahayag ni Chairman Mendoza.
Nagpadala na ang LTFRB ng show cause order (SCO) sa operators ng siyam na UV Express at pinagpapaliwanag kung bakit hindi maaaring makansela ang franchise dahil sa kabiguang bigyan ng maayos at komportableng serbisyo ang mga pasahero nito.
Patuloy ang operasyon ng LTFRB Mystery Riders laban sa mga dugyot at lumang sasakyan hindi lamang sa mga UV Express kundi gayundin sa mga taxi, buses, passenger jeepneys, at ride-hailing services.
“We will do everything in our power to compel PUV operators to provide the best service they can give to the Filipino commuters because that is what they committed when they applied for the permit to operate,” dagdag ni Mendoza.
