Meralco: No disconnection sa unpaid May-July billings

MANILA, Philippines — Tiniyak ng Manila Electric Company (Meralco) na hindi nila puputulan ng kuryente ang mga kostumer na may nakabinbing billing complaints habang nirerebyu ang kanilang kaso.

Kasunod ito ng mga reklamo sa mataas na electricity bills na kumalat sa social media nitong mga nakaraang linggo.

Ayon kay Meralco Vice President for Corporate Communications Joe R. Zaldarriaga, “electricity service of Meralco customers with pending billing concerns will not be disconnected while their cases are under investigation.”

Dagdag pa niya, nananatiling epektibo ang kautusan ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) na nagsususpinde ng disconnection activities para sa mga hindi nabayarang bills mula Mayo hanggang Hulyo 2026.

Hinikayat ng Meralco ang mga kostumer na may katanungan o concern sa kanilang bills, konsumo, o meter reading na makipag-ugnayan sa opisyal na customer service channels ng kumpanya.

“We continuously address the concerns of all customers… Rest assured that we have been diligently reviewing and resolving every customer concern,” ani Zaldarriaga.
