Escudero umiskor sa SC
MANILA, Philippines — Ibinasura ng Korte Suprema ang petition for review na inihain ng high school teacher na si Barry Tayam laban kay Sen. Francis Escudero at Political and Finance and Affairs Department ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) dahil sa “wrong remedy”.
Sa en banc notice na may petsang June 3, 2026 na ipinalabas nitong Hulyo 10 ni Clerk of Court Marife Lomibao-Cuevas, ibinasura ang petisyon dahil sa maling remedyo.
“..The Court Resolved to DISMISS the Petition for Review dated December 23, 2025, filed by the petitioner, for being the wrong remedy.”
Noong Disyembre 2025 nang ihain ni Tayam ang petition for review para sa desisyon ng Comelec na nag-abswelto kay Escudero sa isyu ng “P30-million campaign donation” sa eleksyon noong 2022, na tinanggap mula sa kontratista ng gobyerno.
