Hindi strategy ng defense team ang pag-object sa prosekusyon-Poa
MANILA, Philippines — Agad na nilinaw kahapon ni defense team spokesperson Atty. Michael Poa na hindi nila estratehiya ang sunud-sunod na pag-object sa mga tanong ng prosekusyon na siyang dahilan ng pagbagal at tensiyon sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay Poa, ang pag-object o pagtutol ng depensa ay bahagi ng regular court proceedings at araw-araw na ginagawa ng mga abogado sa hukuman.
“Hindi strategy ‘yun. It’s actually something that lawyers do every day in court. Bakit? Kasi under the rules there are questions that are objectionable and questions that are allowed. Siyempre kapag objectionable, trabaho rin ng abogado—whether defense or prosecution—to object and the rule in terms of testimony being given by witness, they have to object as soon as the ground is apparent. Ibig sabihin kapag lumabas na... dapat mag-object ka na kaagad kasi kung hindi ka mag-object, that would be considered waived,” paliwanag ni Poa.
“As of strategy, hindi naman po gan’un kababaw ang strategy namin na object lang nang object,” dagdag pa ni Poa.
