Pinas, world’s no.1 retirement destination
MANILA, Philippines — Ang Pilipinas ang pinangalanang world’s top retirement destination para sa taong 2026 ng Expatriate Group, na isang international health insurance provider na nagsisilbi sa mga expatriates at retirees sa mahigit 180 bansa.
Batay sa Retirement Abroad Index 2026 ng Expatriate Group, sa iskor na 78 out of 100, ang Pilipinas ang nanguna sa listahan ng mga bansa sa buong mundo kung saan pinakamainam na magtungo upang magretiro ngayong taon.
Nabatid na iniranggo ng index ang world’s most retiree-friendly countries, base sa kanilang healthcare quality, visa accessibility, health insurance requirements, cost of living, expat community, at integration.
Ayon sa Expatriate Group, naging malakas ang performance ng Pilipinas kumpara sa 19 pang bansa na nakatunggali nito, pagdating sa affordability at visa accessibility, na dinagdagan pa ng malakas na ‘private healthcare sector’ nito na nag-aalok ng reassurance para sa mga retirees.
“Affordability remains one of the country’s biggest strengths. A retired couple can typically live comfortably on around £750 – £1,000 per month, although costs are generally higher in Manila than in the smaller cities and coastal communities,” anito pa.
“Combined with a well-established expat population across Manila, Cebu, and popular island destinations, this makes the transition to life overseas much easier than in many competing retirement destinations,” dagdag pa nito.
Pumangalawa naman sa Pilipinas ang Thailand, na nakakuha ng iskor na 77, na sinundan ng Colombia sa puntos na 73.
Una na ring kinilala ang Pilipinas bilang Best Retirement Destination sa Asia sa 2025 TripZilla Excellence Awards.
