‘Linda Walker’ reminds Pinoy students to value education as school week starts

Chinese actress Zhang Yingfei, commonly known as Linda Walker from the short drama series “The Heiress Who Won with Brains,” reminds Filipino students of the value of education as school week has begun.
Zhang rose to fame with her role as Linda Walker, especially for her viral moment of getting a score of 719.
When she played the Linda Walker character, she was studying as a senior at Central Academy of Drama and had an ordinary life.
“So, my life is mostly with my friends, always doing a lot of musical performances,” the actress told reporters in a recent press conference. “I’m an actor, but I also love to cook, and I also have a cute dog.”
Many people mistake her for being an AI, but Zhang has starred in several short dramas in China.
“I am an actress from China. I also started in many short dramas. I invite you all to please check it out. So, you’ll know that I’m not an AI and I am a living, breathing, human being,” she said.
Zhang came to the country to promote education and visited the Universidad de Manila and Quezon City High School.
“When I came out of the airport, there were so many fans who came there for me. I was very surprised, grateful and happy,” she said.
“For the past few days, I was very happy, and I really enjoyed doing all of these. Everybody was so warm and friendly. Yes, it was really busy, like it was really full, but I really enjoy what I’m doing right now,” she added.
On the first day of her visit came the news that Sarangani was struck by a magnitude 7.8 quake, and she expressed her sympathies to the victims of the disaster.

“I heard about the devastating news in Mindanao, and I would like to express my deepest condolences to all the people affected,” Zhang said.
“Yes, these disasters really happen, but as humans, as everybody, we should continue to stay strong because these are natural disasters, and we always believe that there’s still a better tomorrow,” she added.
Despite the challenges, Zhang stressed the need to value education: “Linda Walker is very persevering, very brave, and she always does her very best. So, Linda Walker can be a great role model”
“To those who are struggling with mental health, it’s really important to take care of your health because if you have good health, you can do anything,” the actress said.
“In China, there’s a saying that education can change your destiny.
I encourage everybody to study hard and do your best because that could change your life,” she added.
She is glad to have a cultural exchange with Filipinos: “Coming here in the Philippines, I’m also learning from you, guys. I’m learning along the way. I could say that the Philippines is one of the greatest highlights.”
“Study hard and always look ahead,” she concluded as she greeted her fans.
