MANILA, Philippines — Dose-dosenang planta ng kuryente ang pwersadong isasara ngayong Martes bunsod ng "red" at "yellow" alert na inanunsyo ng National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) sa Luzon at Visayas.

Ayon sa NGCP, 19 power plants ang isasailalim sa power outages sa Luzon grid habang tatlong iba pa ang tumatakbo sa mas mababang kapasidad dahilan para mawala ang 2,117.3 megawatts ang mawala sa grid.

Luzon Red Alert:

  • 2 p.m. hanaggang 4 pm.
  • 6 p.m. hanggang 9 p.m.

Luzon Yellow Alert:

  • 1 p.m. hanggang 2 p.m.
  • 4 p.m. hanggang 6 p.m.
  • 9 p.m. hanggang 11 p.m.

"A red alert status is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission grid's regulating requirement," paliwanag ng NGCP.

"A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid's contingency requirement."

 

 

Samantala, 12 power plants naman ang pwersadong isasara sa Visayas grid habang tatakbo naman sa "derated capacity" ang lima pa.

Dahil diyan, nasa 676.5MW aang magiging unavailable sa naturang grid.

Visayas Yellow Alert:

  • 2 p.m. hanggang 4 p.m.
  • 6 p.m. hanaggang 7 p.m.

 

 

Sinasabing may 13,537MW available capacity at 13,024MW peak demand ang Luzon grid. Nasa 2,742MW naman ang available capacity ng Visayas grid habang 2,440MW ang peak demand nito.

Gayunpaman, hindi inilinaw ng NGCP kung ano ang mga espisipikong power plants na magsasara at anong mga lungsod, munisipalidad at mga rehiyon ang maaapektuhan.

Mangyayari ang naturang yellow at red alert statuses habang napakainit ng panaho dala ng tag-araw, panahon kung kailan nakaasa nang husto ang marami sa kuryente para manatiling presko.
