MANILA, Philippines — Maaari pa ring magpatupad ng distance at blended learning, paglampas ng Nobyembre 2, ang mga pribadong paaralan sa bansa.

Ito’y matapos na ilabas ng Department of Education (DepEd) kahapon ang Department Order (DO) 044 na pirmado ni Vice President at DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte.

Sa ilalim ng naturang kautusan, inaamiyendahan ang DO 034, o ang School Calendar of Activities for the School Year 2022-2023, na unang inisyu ng DepEd at nagmamandato sa lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong paaralan na magdaos na ng limang araw na face-to-face classes simula sa Nobyembre 2.

Nakasaad rin sa bagong kautusan na ang mga pribadong paaralan ay maaari pa ring magpatupad ng blended learning at full distance learning.

Sa ilalim ng blended learning scheme, ang mga private schools ay maaaring magkaroon ng tatlong araw na in-person classes at dalawang araw ng distance learning, o di kaya ay apat na araw na in-person classes at isang araw na distance learning.

Sinabi pa ng DepEd na maaari na rin umanong magdaos ang mga private schools ng limang araw na in-person classes.

Samantala, ayon pa sa DepEd, ang lahat naman ng mga pampublikong paaralan ay dapat na nagdaraos na ng limang araw na face-to-face classes, simula sa Nobyembre 2.

“After the said date, no public school shall be allowed to implement purely distance learning or blended learning, except for those that are expressly provided an exemption by the Regional Director, those whose classes are automatically cancelled due to disaster and calamities, and those implementing Alternative Delivery Modes,” bahagi pa ng kautusan.

Kaugnay nito, nagpasalamat naman ang grupo ng mga pribadong paaralan na Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Philippines (COCOPEA), sa DepEd dahil sa naturang bagong kautusan.
