ConCom members iimbitahan sa BBL hearing - Drilon

MANILA, Philippines – Pinaiimbitahan ni Senator Franklin Drilon sa Senate panel na nagsasagawa ng pagdinig sa panukalang Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) ang mga miyembro ng 1986 Constitutional Commission (ConCom) upang tingnan ang constitutionality ng draft law na inaasahang magiging solusyon sa pangmatagalang kapayapaan sa Mindanao.

Ayon kay Drilon, naniniwala siyang ang mga gumawa ng 1987 Constitution ang nasa posisyon para i-assess kung may malalabag sa Konstitus­yon ang BBL.

Kabilang umano sa mga maaring imbitahin sina dating Chief Justice Hilario Davide, dating Justice Adolfo Azcuna, dating Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Christian Monsod, Fr. Joaquin Bernas, at dating Comelec Commissioner Rene Sarmiento.

Mahalaga aniyang madinig ang opinyon ng mga nabanggit upang matiyak na walang malalabag na batas at mapabilis ang pagpasa ng BBL.

“We want to hear their views and direct us to the weak points of the draft law, and tell us how we can rectify them. They can guide us on what needs to be done to strengthen the law against abuses,” ani Drilon.

Nagpahayag naman umano ng interes ang mga miyembro ng 1986 Concom para makilahok sa talakayan ng BBL.
