Libong doktor, nars kailangan sa Oman

MANILA, Philippines - May panibagong tsansa na makapasok ng trabaho sa ibayong dagat ang mga Pinoy na doktor at nars.

Ayon kay Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz na 3,288 na dayuhang doctor at highly-specialized Philippine nurses ang kailangan ngayon ng Sultanate of Oman, bunsod ng kakulangan nila ng medical professionals.

Sa report aniya ni Philippine Ambassador to Oman Joselito Jimeno, 8,900 ang shortage ng doctors and nurses sa Sultanate of Oman pagsapit ng 2015.

Kabilang sa mga kakailanganin ay mga nurse na may specialization sa obstetrics, gynecology, anesthesiology, surgery (neuro and cardio), intensive care at mga psychiatrist.

Ang mga specialized nurse sa Oman ay binibigyan ng basic salay na US$703.70 base sa rekord ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
