OWWA tutulong sa 23,493 kaanak ng OFWs na biktima ng Habagat

Manila, Philippines -  Magsasagawa ng relief operations at medical mission ang Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) para sa may mahigit 23,000 miyembro ng pamilya ng mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) na biktima ng nagdaang matitinding pag-ulan, pagbaha at bagyo.

Ayon kay OWWA Administrator Carmelita Dimzon, target nilang tulungan ang may 23,493 miyembro ng OFW families na nakabase sa National Capital Region (NCR) Region 3 at Region 4 na nabiktima ng kalamidad.

Sinabi ni Dimzon, gaya sa mga nagdaang medical missions at relief operations na isinagawa ng OWWA sa mga biktima ng mga bagyong “Ondoy”, “Pedring” at “Peping” magkakatuwang sa pagbibigay serbisyo sa mga nasalanta ang mga OWWA personnel , medical doctors at nurses, kabilang na ang partner-OFW Family Circles at iba pang network institutions.

Magsisimula ang medical mission at distribusyon ng relief goods o grocery packs na naglalaman ng pagkain gamot at personal hygiene sa susunod na linggo.

“We are being assisted by leaders of OFW Fa­mily Circles and LGUs through our OFW Help Desks in locating OFW families in areas/provinces declared under state of calamity,” ani Dimzon.
