Perjury vs Lozada inatras na ni Defensor

MANILA, Philippines – Nagpahayag ng intensiyon kahapon si dating Presidential Management Staff Mike Defensor na iurong na ang kasong perjury na isinampa kay NBN-ZTE whistle blower Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada.

Sa isang sulat kay Manila Metropolitan Trial Court Judge Jorge Emmanuel Lloredo, sinabi ni Defensor na hindi na siya interesado na isulong pa ang kaso.

“I write to respectfully inform you that I am no longer interested in pursuing the present case. While I am very much determined to seek relief for the criminal acts committed by Mr. Lozada that caused serious injury upon my person. I feel that I may not able to obtain impartial justice from the honorable Court,” saad pa ni Defensor sa kanyang liham.

Dumalo naman sa naturang pre-trial si Lozada, habang si Atty. Reynold Monserat, abogado ni Defensor ang kumatawan sa huli.

Muling itinakda sa Hunyo 11 ng umaga ang trial sa kasong perjury ni Lozada. (Doris Franche)
