MANILA, Philippines — Nagbabala ang Phili­ppine National Police (PNP) sa publiko laban sa mga scammer na maaa­ring samantalahin ang pagbabalik ng No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) sa ilang lungsod sa Metro Manila upang makuha ang personal at financial information ng mga motorista.

Ayon kay PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., maaaring magpadala ang mga scammer ng pekeng text, email, o link na nagsasabing may traffic violation o kailangang bayarang multa ang isang motorista. Pina­yuhan niya ang publiko na huwag mag-click sa kahina-hinalang links at sa halip ay i-check ang violations sa mga awtorisadong platform gaya ng eGovPH application at online services ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Samantala, tiniyak ni MMDA Chairman Romando Don Artes na walang magiging duplicate na citation sa NCAP dahil nakipag-ugnayan na ang ahensya sa mga local government units (LGUs). Aniya, walang camera ang MMDA at LGU na nakapuwesto sa eksaktong parehong lugar.
