MANILA, Philippines - A foreign placement agency in Ireland is looking for 50 Filipino nurses to fill up vacancies in health service executive and care homes.
Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz confirmed the said report from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in London.
“Our POLO in London has verified the 50 job orders of Triopharm Ltd. for nursing positions. It has tied up with Serviecon International Corporation, a licensed Philippine recruitment agency which is conducting sourcing and selection of qualified candidates,” Baldoz said.
The minimum qualification requirements for candidates are as follows:
- must be licensed or registered nurses in the Philippines
- with minimum two (2) years relevant working experience
- must be proficient in English, having obtained an IELTS overall score of 6.5
Qualified and chosen candidates will sign a two-year contract with a salary of €35,000 or around P1.7 million annually.
According to Baldoz, internationally recruited nurses who were trained outside the European Union (EU) would have to undergo a nursing adaptation program before registering with the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board.
Aside from the adaptation program, applicants are required to complete the following:
- accomplish an application form with photograph
- birth certificate
- copy of passport showing photograph and number
- copy of marriage contract
- transcript of training program (Form A)
- professional employment reference
- certificate of current professional status
- evidence of English competence
- Graduate Nurse Program/ Transition to Nursing Practice
Baldoz reminded Filipino nurses who are interested to go to Ireland for work to only deal with licensed recruitment agencies in the country. They are also encouraged to visit the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration and inquire about the matter.
