Bangladesh building collapse toll rises to 450

DHAKA, Bangladesh — The confirmed death toll from a building collapse in Bangladesh has reached 450 with more bodies found overnight.

The rescue work is continuing Friday with cranes removing the rubble.

Maj. Gen. Chowdhury Hassan Suhwardy said rescuers were proceeding cautiously to keep bodies intact.

The official number of missing was still at 149 though unofficial estimates are higher.
