Video Of The Day: Blind man playing skateboard inspires

AJ Bolando - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Defying the odds and the negative vibes from society, Tommy Carroll proved that his disability is not a hindrance to things he want to do, including the extreme sport of skateboarding.

Carroll, who has been skating since he was 10 years old, was blinded at the age of two after suffering from bilateral retinoblastoma or cancer in the retina.

“I think everybody should know that everything happens for a reason and that there is always a way to overcome an obstacle if your really wanted it enough,” he said.

The short inspirational film was uploaded by video production company Eyeforce on Vimeo last year and gained positive comments from the viewers.
