New RLC campaign to boost domestic tourism

MANILA, Philippines — The Gokongwei family’s Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is embarking on an initiative to help boost domestic tourism.

RLC, through its hospitality arm Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), is encouraging travelers to discover more of the Philippines through its “20 Reasons to Travel” campaign, an initiative highlighting 20 unique attractions located near the group’s hotels across the country.

Through the campaign, RHR urges both local and international travelers to venture beyond the usual tourist stops and experience the diversity of destinations across the country.

“With more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines offers an incredible variety of experiences waiting to be discovered,” Barun Jolly, senior vice president and business unit general manager of RHR, said.

“As the country’s largest and most geographically diverse hotel group, we are uniquely positioned to connect travelers with destinations across the nation — from world-renowned attractions to hidden gems that deserve greater recognition. Through ‘20 Reasons to Travel,’ we hope to inspire more people to explore the beauty, culture and stories that make every destination uniquely Filipino,” he said.

RHR said the campaign supports its commitment to promoting domestic tourism and aligns with the Department of Tourism’s efforts.

It highlights the many reasons to explore the country, while showcasing the destinations where RHR’s homegrown brands have established a presence.

RHR has 30 properties across 20 cities and municipalities nationwide, with a portfolio spanning 10 brands that cater to a wide range of travel needs, from ultra-luxury experiences to essential-value stays.

Its portfolio includes Fili Hotels, the first Filipino-owned five-star hotel brand and NUSTAR Hotel Cebu, alongside internationally recognized partners such as The Westin Manila, Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila, Holiday Inn Galleria Manila and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu.

Completing its nationwide footprint are RHR’s homegrown brands — Grand Summit Hotels, Summit Hotels and Resorts, Go Hotels and Go Hotels Plus.

As part of its continuing efforts to support tourism growth in the country, RHR also recently partnered with Duty Free Philippines to offer added flexibility and value by linking Duty Free Philippines’ loyalty program with its network of hotels.
