600 ka bata miapil sa 2nd Mayor Cabaron summer sports program

CEBU, Philippines — Miabot ngadto sa 600 ka mga bata ang nakakumpleto sa unang hugna sa ilang training sa unom ka sports ubos sa 2nd Mayor Inocentes Cabaron Summer Athletic Enhancement Program didto sa lungsod sa Moalboal, habagatang bahin sa Sugbo.

Anaa karon sa ikaduha niining tuig, ang dalayyon nga programa nagtanyag og libreng training alang sa basketball, volleyball, dancesport, tennis, table tennis, badminton, ug chess.

Ning tuiga, si Mayor Cabaron mikuha ni kanhi University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancer Jaysar Esperat aron modumala sa basketball ug kanhi sakop sa Philippine national team nga si Dave Cabaron alang sa volleyball.

Ang ubang mga trainers mao sila si Seth Rabuya sa tennis, Odillon Badilles sa chess, Filjun Benlot sa table tennis, Arvin Flores sa dancesport, ug Hipolito Gocotano sa badminton. Ang programa mahuman karong Hulyo 15.

"Sports is the best way to encourage our kids to stay active and by giving them free training, we also hope to discover the next generation of players who can represent us in DepEd meets," matud pa ni Mayor Cabaron, nga usa sab ka sportsman diin tennis ang gikahiligan.

Nanghinaut si Cabaron nga ang ilang mga players makakuha og athletic scholaship pinaagi niining ilang inisyatiba.

"An athletic scholarship is a very huge help to the family of the athletes. That's why I encourage them that if they get a chance, they should grab it since not everyone are given such opportunity," dason pa ni Cabaron.
