For new BPPO head: PRO-7 wants drug woes solved

CEBU, Philippines - Police Regional Office-7 Director Chief Superintendent Noli Taliño issued his marching order for Senior Superintendent Felipe Natividad, who is set to assume today the post of director of the Bohol Police Provincial Office.

Taliño, in a press briefing yesterday, said he ordered the new BPPO director to focus on the problem on illegal drugs in Bohol.

The latest data for Central Visayas showed Bohol has the most number of drug personalities, who surrendered under the police’s Oplan Tokhang, than the other provinces in the region.

Natividad, according to Taliño, was previously assigned to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Camp Crame before his appointment to head the BPPO.

Taliño will attend the turn-over of command ceremony today at Camp Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City, where Natividad will officially replace Senior Superintendent Dennis Agustin, who will be heading PRO-7 Directorial Staff.

Agustin will take over the RCDC post from Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos, who is now the spokesperson and OIC of the PNP’s Public Information Office. (FREEMAN)
