BACOLOD CITY, Philippines - Two colorum vehicles were apprehended in Western Visayas and slapped with P1 million fine each for allegedly violating the laws, rules and regulations governing land transportation.
This was confirmed by Romulo Bernaldes, regional director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Region 6.
One of the operators was from Negros Occidental and the other from Aklan, he said without disclosing their names, but adding that they were apprehended for violating the joint administrative order of the LTRFRB and the Land Transportation Office “against not for hire vehicles,” which was implemented on June 19.
Bernaldes said the colorum vehicles were plying the route of the Bacolod-Silay Airport and were monitored for lack of permits thus violating the joint order.
