Faceapp

We all want ourselves to be the better version of us. We admire the wealthy and content families, the good relationships, and the ideal looks based on certain norms, and to some degree envy them.

And even if in the virtual world it would take a few minutes, we love to have the augmented version of ourselves, something we have always wanted. And this is made possible through a certain software application in just a few clicks of our phones.

Facebook timelines have been peppered, refined, and polished, with augmented faces. And what is more amazing is that if we want to, we can create an opposite gender version of ourselves. And this would somehow give us a glimpse of how we would look if we were born with the opposite gender.

And this is not anything new, as the same program was introduced just a few years ago, allowing us to play with various versions of oneself. We are especially entertained by the whole thing about curiosity and adventurous dimension within us. We want to try something different and something new. Something that curiously satisfies our own and takes up a certain void in us. There is always a vacuum in us that, when given a chance, we would like to realize fully or at least only for a given instance, to see how others will react.

Let’s us just be careful because as we go into the process, our personal information may become compromised, something that we don’t to regret in the end. Oftentimes we want to experiment in order to deal with the harshness of life. We find ways to escape the harsh realities. But in the end, going back and dealing directly with the reality is still the practical and honest-to-goodness way to deal with it.

Let's remember we had to cry when we were babies to get what we wanted. If we didn't, our parents think we probably did not want anything. Likewise, the universe does not simply give us what we want when we grow up, unless we ask for and fight for it.

The only thing we are in charge of is our mind and our body. A bunch of individuals and external circumstances agree upon everything else. If we are really happy, then nobody else can snatch it from us.

Disguise is the foe of tranquility. The evil is nourished by concealment, and it grows. And if we continue to wear our masks, it's hard to find real and enduring happiness. A conscious effort to unmask ourselves with pretense and fantasy is a bold step towards self-assessment and discovery. And no amount of software applications can go deep into our inner consciousness and identity.

We live in an imperfect reality. There are still ups and downs. But if it leads us back to our center — who we are and our purpose in life, we can deal with it perfectly. Let's go back to our essence, our core is our reality. And to find our core means to deal with reality, with our true self, with our inner happiness.
