Danao gov’t helping city entrepreneurs promote their products

Jose P. Sollano - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines – The Danao City government will conduct a number of activities to help local entrepreneurs promote their products and services.

Danao City Vice Mayor Ramon “Red” Durano VI said that developing the local businesses would help both the local entrepreneurs and the city’s economic and social needs.

As part of their activity, a  one-week Christmas Bazaar would be opened starting tomorrow.

According to Durano, similar to the previous years, the bazaar would be a weeklong activity where village-based products and food depot distribution such as crops, vegetable and fruits, delicacies, pots and jars, processed food, accessories, handmade gifts and services would be offered.

With this activity, Durano said they can establish viable business enterprises in every barangay.

The program is an innovative scheme of partnership to promote community participation and entrepreneurship values, Durano said.

“We also want to assist the barangay’s marketing aspect for its sustainability and overall competitiveness. And through this endeavor, we can open doors of opportunities for our local entrepreneurs,” Durano added.

Officials of the Department of Trade and Industry in Cebu Province assured their support for the activity. – /ATO
