CEBU, Philippines - Two persons were arrested by the operatives of the Pusok Police Station Monday evening on Airport Road in Lapu-Lapu City after both were allegedly caught in the act of selling illegal drugs in the area.
Frankly Alic, 30, and Jerome Malazado, 30, both of Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City were arrested after a concerned citizen called up the police to inform the ongoing illegal drug transaction of the duo at around 11 p.m. last Monday.
A team then led by station chief Mercedaruis Balabat conducted a buy-bust operation in the area. Both suspects were immediately arrested after a police decoy handed a P200 marked money in exchange of one small pack of shabu.
During a frisking, police were able to recover from the possession of Alic 10 small packs of suspected shabu, as well as rolled tin foil strip, four disposable lighters, a small container box and two P100 bills as buy-bust money.
From Malazado, the police were also able to seize three small heat-sealed transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, three rolled tin foil strip, one small container box and two hundred pesos believed to be proceeds from illegal drugs.
Both suspects are presently detained at a holding cell of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office pending the filing of appropriate charges against them before the City Prosecutors Office. (FREEMAN)
