CEBU, Philippines - Three men were in an entrapment operation Sunday afternoon by the City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Group in one of the barangays in Lapu-Lapu City.
Police Senior Inspector Rogelio Pineda of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office - CAIDSOTG led the operation in busting a drug deal in Sitio Datag, Barangay Maribago in cooperation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
At around 5 p.m., authorities arrested Greg Pilapil, 25, a resident of Sitio Landing, Barangay Catarman, Lilo-an town, Cebu; Greggy Oyao, 31, and Julius Augusto, 28, both residents of Sitio Datag.
Two pieces of large pack of shabu and two small packs of the drugs were confiscated from Pilapil's possession. Confiscated as well were three pieces of P100 bill that served as marked money.
From Oyao's possession, the police took two small pieces of suspected shabu, 10 pieces of aluminum tin foil strips and three disposable lighters. Another two pieces of small packs of shabu were recovered from Augusto.
Recovered evidence were brought to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office in preparation for filing of criminal case in violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
