CEBU, Philippines - Superintendent Resty Santos, officer-in-charge of the Talisay City Police Station, said in order to solve crimes quickly, victims should provide the police accurate information.
Yesterday Santos showed his displeasure over a girl who claimed she was robbed Tuesday of her belongings including allegedly an expensive cellular phone by men on a motorcycle.
But the operatives assigned to the girl to run after the alleged robbers said she gave conflicting statements when asked about the motorcycle used and the appearance of the robbers.
Santos said the girl claimed she skipped classes and did not go home and wanted a note from the police which states that she was robbed.
He said the girl wanted to use it as an excuse letter.
Santos said the police can easily tell whether a person is telling the truth or just making up stories. — (FREEMAN)
