CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City Traffic Management Section will implement a new traffic plan in relation to the celebration of All Souls Day and All Saints Day.
CTMS head Frank Brazil said the new traffic rerouting scheme will guide motorists where to bring their vehicles when they visit the city public cemetery.
Brazil said all traffic leading to the public cemetery in sitio Humay-Humay in Barangay Gun-ob will be closed to traffic from corner Maximo V. Patalinghug Avenue to Humay-Humay Road, from corner Ricana up to Sangi Road, from corner Maximo V. Patalinghug up to the entrance of More and Bucana area, from corner Hoopsdome to Humay-Humay road, from corner S. Osmeña entrance to Toga and public cemetery.
The CTMS also said the elderly and persons with disabilities will be allowed to disembark in front of the gate of the public cemetery.
But vehicles should be parked at designated places.
The vacant area at the Hoopsdome will be used as designated parking area for all vehicles.
CTMS personnel will be deployed at the designated places to maintain the smooth flow of traffic.
Uniformed policemen and barangay tanods will maintain peace and order and assist in directing traffic. (FREEMAN)
