Cebu eyes win No.2 in MPBL cage wars
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Classic shoot for back-to-back wins as they clash with the Quezon Huskers in the 7th Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) season today (Monday, March 17) at the Bataan People’s Center in Balanga, Bataan.
Game time is set at 6 p.m.
It’s expected to be an exciting showdown of teams that hurdled their season-opening assignments, albeit in contrasting fashion.
Cebu battled back from 19 points down in the fourth quarter to pull off a 77-76 nail-biter over the Caloocan Batang Kankaloo while Quezon dominated the Batangas City Tanduay Rum Masters, 70-46.
The Cebu Classic will once again bank on the likes of Rashawn McCarthy, Limuel Tampus, Lean Martel, Ladis Lepalam, Darrell Manliguez, Mark Meneses and Brylle Ivan Meca as they seek for a second straight victory.
On the other side, the Huskers will rely on Diego Manuel Dario, Ximone Sandagon, Judel Ric Fuentes, Vince Magbuhos, Louell Jay Gonzales, Jason Opiso, and John Paul Saro to sustain their hot charge.
