Contact Solutions, Dynata keep lead in EVO League

CEBU, Philippines — The Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs and the Dynata Warriors trounced separate rivals to stay on top of the heap in the EVO League of the Tanduay Athletics CSCC E-Leagues for Basketball Season 15 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Joey Juntilla scattered 12 points and eight rebounds as the Flying Lemurs ripped the Results Mactan Newtown Spartans, 63-44, while Tommy Ugsimar sizzled with 22 points, 14 rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block as the Warriors spanked the Kyocera Frontiers.

Thus, the Flying Lemurs and the Warriors kept their hold of the lead with similar 13-2 win-loss records. The Spartans fell to 6-9, while the Frontiers suffered their only third loss in 14 matches.

Not to be outdone, Ellison Rivera dished out 25 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and four steals as the Author Solutions Philippines Inc. (ASPI) Hardbacks edged the Iploy Barracudas, 89-74.

Antontio Nocos and Donald De Leon tallied 35 points across their names while Elli Banaag chipped in 10 markers for the Hardbacks, who notch their sixth win in 16 starts.

On the other hand, Steven Cabanday submitted 22 points while Marck Tinoy, Nolan De la Peña and Michael Mante connived for 42 points as the Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties dumped the Shearwater Health Crusaders, 91-57.

The victory towed the Tech Mighties into a three-way tie at sixth place with Fluor Pandas and the Dyninno Raptors with identical 10-5 cards.

In other EVO League games, Cognizant (3-12) whipped CTC-BPO (0-15), 76-63, while Optum (12-4) escaped past Amazon (9-6), 76-74. EBV
