CEBU, Philippines — Cebu’s top young karter William Riley Go posted back-to-back victory in the Asian Karting Open Championships after an impressive performance in round 2 at the Kartodromo De Coloane in Macau over the weekend.
After outpacing his rivals in round 1 in Beijing last month, Go once again topped the mini-ROK division.
Being familiar now with the tracks of Macau, Go got the pole position as he posted the best output.
Go registered a time of 12 minutes and 28.513 seconds on a 13-lap action followed by China’s Ye Rui Heng with 12:28.792, while Yan Yu wound up third third spot with 12:30.714 clocking.
Another young Pinoy karter, Joharry Victory Suba managed to clinched the fifth place with his 12:38.383 clocking.
Go will be a heavy-favorite in the next round of the series as the action shifts to Clark International Speedway on September 21. (FREEMAN)
